Dear Families of Torres Elementary,

My name is Analaura Alcantar and I am very excited to introduce myself as the new principal of PFC Omar E Torres Elementary. I am honored to have been selected to lead an amazing school and school community. My experience with the teachers and staff of Torres has been nothing but positive, not only as an Acero leader, but as a Torres parent.

I come to you not only as a seasoned educator and leader, but as a mother of two daughters, who have had extraordinary experiences that have led to cherished memories as Torres scholars. I have served our Acero community for the past 14 years as an elementary teacher, a master teacher, assistant principal and site coordinator for the Union League Boys and Girls Club. 

I know that Torres is a special place. Its depth of character, traditions and commitment to each of you, is what has created a learning environment, in which your scholars strive to reach their highest potential. I am committed along with my administrative team, to promote a campus climate that continues to be respectful, supportive and safe. At Torres every scholar matters, at Torres, every scholar succeeds.

Please know that my door is always open and I cannot wait to meet you at our first Parent Cafe and back to school event!
