Welcome to Mr. Loafmann's page!
In writing class you will learn how to defeat the blank page. You will learn how to win debates with your friends by connecting evidence to arguments. You will learn how to access your creativity to weave original stories that express your perspective on the world.
In reading class you will learn where stories come from and why authors write what they do. You will learn that Shakespeare isn't scary - sometimes it's about talking to your shoes. You will learn to see the world through the eyes of people from various cultures and eras (new and seemingly familiar).
In social studies you will learn early American history. Starting with Native American, West African, and European cultures and working our way through revolution and Constitution, we will explore who we are, where we come from, where we want to go, and how we can get there.
Most importantly, we will explore the big questions: why and how.

En la clase de escritura aprenderás a vencer la página en blanco. Aprenderá a ganar debates con sus amigos conectando pruebas con argumentos. Aprenderás a acceder a tu creatividad para tejer historias originales que expresen tu perspectiva del mundo.
En la clase de lectura aprenderás de dónde vienen las historias y por qué los autores escriben lo que hacen. Aprenderás que Shakespeare no da miedo, a veces se trata de hablarle a tus zapatos. Aprenderá a ver el mundo a través de los ojos de personas de diversas culturas y épocas (nuevas y aparentemente familiares).
En estudios sociales, aprenderá la historia estadounidense temprana. Comenzando con las culturas nativas americanas, africanas occidentales y europeas y avanzando a través de la revolución y la Constitución, exploraremos quiénes somos, de dónde venimos, adónde queremos ir y cómo podemos llegar allí.
Lo más importante es que exploraremos las grandes preguntas: por qué y cómo.
