Hello Torres!
My name is Mr. Schaefer, and I am THRILLED to teach 7th grade mathematics and social studies here at Torres. After earning my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I was selected for the Denver Teacher Residency program, where I completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction while co-teaching with a master teacher. I have been living and teaching in Chicago the past seven years and absolutely LOVE it with a passion. On my free time I enjoy exercising, spending time with my wife, exploring the city, trying to improve my spanish, reading and watching the Chicago Bulls.

Mi nombre es Sr. Schaefer, y estoy EMOCIONADO de enseñar matemáticas y estudios sociales de séptimo grado aquí en Torres. Después de obtener mi licenciatura de la Universidad de Wisconsin-Madison, fui seleccionado para el programa de residencia de maestros de Denver, donde completé mi maestría en currículo e instrucción mientras enseñaba junto con una profesora principal. He estado viviendo y enseñando en Chicago los últimos siete años y lo AMO con pasión. En mi tiempo libre disfruto hacer ejercicio, pasar tiempo con mi esposa, explorar la ciudad, tratar de mejorar mi español, leer y ver los Chicago Bulls.
